The combination of industrial design and Mediterranean ambiance |
About the client: The Pullman Hotel is located within the impressive City Island complex in Zagreb. This complex, built in an industrial style, is enriched with green oases that create a harmonious contrast with the dynamic urban environment. The complex is dominated by business spaces, and given its location in the Buzin business zone and proximity to the airport, it is an ideal solution for one of the buildings to be designated as a hotel. In collaboration with the Accor group, the Pullman Hotel has been developed. Puls*Ar has been entrusted with the project of interior design for the public spaces and the coordination of the entire interior of the Pullman Hotel. The interior design is inspired by the natural beauty of Croatia, merging the Mediterranean ambiance with mountainous landscapes. High-quality materials have been used, such as terrazzo that evokes pebbly beaches, while beige-toned carpets symbolize sandy oases. The space is enriched with Mediterranean plants, olive trees, and "cloud-like" chandeliers, creating a calming atmosphere. The colour palette, which includes olive green tiles and terracotta shades, evokes sunsets and helps guests to relax. For this project, natural materials and textures were carefully selected. The furniture is custom-made by renowned manufacturers, and the local company Ancona from Đakovo contributed to the uniqueness of the apartments and lobby. The final phase of the decoration included works by local artist Damir Sobota, whose graphics perfectly complemented the space and architectural vision. Pullman in City Island offers a perfect blend of industrial design and a relaxing Mediterranean atmosphere, creating a unique experience for all visitors. |
